Job Description
Lab Assistant’s (LA) will conduct routine walkthroughs and tasks focused on maintaining the MakerCenter Lab Space(s). Tasks in repair and maintenance will be both reactive and proactive in nature involving equipment such as Automated Tool Cabinets (ATC), workbench power tools, hand tools, and occasionally other equipment such as a laser cutter. They will provide support for the lab spaces in order for the classes to function; the support is generally indirect and “behind-the-scenes”. Monitor proper use of tools and equipment, enforce safety rules.
