Position Overview - JANITOR, 3rd shift, 10: 30PM-7: 00AM, Sunday- Friday
A janitor is responsible for helping keep the warehouse clean, clear of clutter and debris, and contributing to a safe work environment by helping provide a neat and sanitary workspace for everyone.

Duties and responsibilities

• Performs a variety of janitorial, maintenance and cleaning activities to meet the established standards of appearance, cleanliness, and safety of the distribution center and grounds.
• General sweeping and cleaning of interior/exterior building premises, which include all restrooms, windows, doors, offices, and employee break room.
• Maintain all Sanitation and Cleaning Logs that require a routine verification daily.
• Comply with OSHA standards and Company safety procedures in the workplace.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris and clutter, and properly disposing of packaging materials.
• Occasionally assisting with other warehouse tasks, such as picking and packing orders, conducting, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Required skills/abilities

• Minimum (1) year janitorial experience including sweeping, cleaning of interior/exterior building premises, restrooms, windows, doors, offices, etc.
• Able to work in a collaborative team environment.

education and experience

• Knowledge of cleaning tools, solutions, equipment and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to work in cold and/or dry environment, or any combination of both throughout the shift.
• Accurate documentation and reporting skills are required.
• Ability to work independently.

physical requirements

• Standing, walking, bending, squatting most of the time.
• Repetitive motions including pushing & pulling with hands most of the time.
• Frequently carrying up to 25 lbs.
