SUNDAY-THURSDAY 1ST SHIFT

POSITION SUMMARY:
Manages the performance of testing and inspection on product, as well as, packaging per quality control program. Provide guidance, expertise and leadership to Lab Technicians.

REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.
Leads front line employees to ensure the effective application of quality control techniques.
Ensure the performance of testing and inspection on product, as well as, packaging quality control program.
Responsible for the implementation of the company's quality control program, as well as, quality improvement initiatives.
Develop, review, and audits SOP's.
Ensures implementation of company policies, rules, and regulations regarding safety, discipline, Good Manufacturing Practices, etc.
Monitors raw material yields and recommends waste reduction measures.
Evaluates lab testing methods and proposes improvements and equipment needs.
Evaluates the effectiveness of process control and improvement initiatives and brings ideas to better them.
Provide guidance and expertise to Lab Technicians.
Participate in all food safety and compliance audits.
May conducts performance reviews.
May participate in interviews.
Delivers strong leadership while bringing positive change to the business.
May coach, counsel and provide discipline up to and including termination of employment as necessary or recommend such.
Teach, coach, and train front line employees in the area of food science, regulatory requirements, and quality measurement systems.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 1-2 years Quality Assurance Management experience; OR 2-3 years Quality Assurance Management experience.
Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within food & beverage manufacturing.
Knowledgeable in food safety and compliance audit processes. (FSSC experience preferred)
Related training or certification. (HACCP Certification preferred)
Experience working in a team environment.
Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Previous experience in a union environment preferred.

We offer a competitive salary of $85-95k. Excellent benefits which include medical, dental and vision. Eligibility in benefit plans begin the first of the month following 60 days of employment.
