So What is the Role About?The
Finance Project Manager plays a dual role, combining financial analysis expertise with project management skills to support strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and financial performance within a cloud-based organization. This role ensures that finance-related projects-such as pricing optimization, cost management, forecasting automation, and cloud infrastructure investments-are executed effectively, on time, and within budget.
How you will make an impact? - Analyze and interpret financial data to provide insights on revenue, margins, cost drivers, and ROI for cloud products and services.
- Partner with business units to prepare budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans aligned with company goals.
- Support the development of financial models for new cloud offerings
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across cloud operations, identifying risks, variances, and improvement opportunities.
- Evaluate vendor contracts (AWS, Azure, GCP, SaaS platforms) for cost efficiency and forecast spend patterns.
- Lead cross-functional finance and operations projects (e.g., financial system implementations, process automation, cloud cost optimization).
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and deliverables; track progress and communicate status to stakeholders.
- Coordinate between finance, engineering, and product teams to align financial goals with technical initiatives.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage scope, and ensure project objectives are achieved within deadlines and budget.
- Implement tools and dashboards to enhance project visibility and decision-making.
- Standardize and streamline reporting, forecasting, and cost allocation processes for cloud resources.
- Automate data workflows and integrate cloud cost-management tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial transparency and scalability in cloud operations.
Have you got what it takes? - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or PMP certification preferred.
- 5+ years of combined experience in financial analysis, project management, or FP& A, preferably within a cloud or SaaS environment.
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
- Experience with ERP and BI tools.
- Familiarity with cloud cost management platforms and metrics (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with Project management software.
- Strong analytical mindset, excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- PMP, CFA, or AWS Cloud Practitioner Certifications are a plus.
You will have an advantage if you also have: - Experience working with the CX industry
- Experience with global finance
