Maximus is seeking an experienced Director, Systems Integration. As a part of our digital solutions organization, the Director, Systems Integration is responsible for providing leadership to the team involved in software development, systems integration and overall business process automation. The Director, Systems Integration, is one of the most senior technical members of our team, collaborates closely with technical and non-technical team members. This role expects person to provide thought leadership, innovation, architectural vision, technical mentorship, and technical leadership to all digital initiatives and team members.

This critical leadership role is based out of our Princeton, New Jersey, office location and is expected to be in the office 2-3 days per week to collaborate in-person with the team and other leaders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Effectively lead and mentor teams of managers, architects, and engineers.

- Oversee and drive architecture for technology solutions.

- Guide technical selection of enterprise-wide standardized applications.

- Lead management of enterprise applications and associated infrastructure.

- Enforce structured approaches and methodologies that align with the key strategies of the organization.

- Ensure that new technology solutions are optimally designed and integrated.

- Promote the following qualities in all solutions; scalability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, flexibility, availability, and manageability.

- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including; hiring, performance management, and termination. Supervision is often provided through a team of subordinate managers.

- Work as Senior Technical SME to provide guidance to implementation team.

- Ensure production systems have adequate support, and are up and running.

- Performance analysis of requirements/RFPs and propose solutions.

- Explore new technologies, work with onsite/offshore team in triaging, troubleshooting issues as well as solutioning.

- Assist with planning, management of budget for the software development and ongoing support.

- Drive adoption of industry best practices and common standards across the organization.

- Review work of team and contribute to defining/establishing best practices.

- Conduct performance evaluations and 1-1 meetings with direct reports.

- Ensure efficient utilization of the team and ensuring every team member is creating value while in-between projects

- Manage upcoming demands and work with corporate recruiters to hire the best candidates for the team.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study.
-10+ years of relevant professional experience required.

- Additional years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree.

- 10+ years of well-rounded, broad base experience in systems integration and building multi-tier enterprise software applications that are required to be highly available/scalable.

- 5+ years of experience as Sr. Technical Lead/Solution Architect/Development Manager architecting/creating highly scalable, available enterprise software applications.

- Must have 3 or more years senior leadership and management experience (performance reviews, personnel actions, hiring and disciplinary actions).

- Experience with full stack development using technologies like JavaScript (React/Node.js), Python, Java, or similar.

- Good understanding of data integration, ETL pipelines and tools (AWS Glue, Talend, etc.)

- Strong background in requirements and data analysis, solution design, and technical presentation.

- Deep familiarity with backend systems integration, ETL tools, REST API, Web Services.

- Good familiarity/experience with AWS technologies, Serverless Development, Databases, SQL/NoSQL, Low Code platforms (Salesforce/Appian).

- Project/Team management, Agile Methodology, managing technical resources.

- Solutioning and creating work break down structure, developing effort estimates.

- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- Understanding of application security, compliance, and identity management.

In addition to above technical skills, ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

- A good mix of technology and management skills, ability to work as solution architect, as well as provide technical leadership to the team.

- Ability to proactively identify and update management of any risks in solution delivery.

- Ability to quickly explore, pickup new technology, conduct proof of concepts.

- Strong analytical skills with ability to bridge the gap between non-technical and technical audience.

- Excellent verbal/written communication and technical presentation skills.
