Role reports to: VP US End to End Supply Chain

What you will do As a key member of the leadership team, the Director Supply Planning actively reviews sourcing requirements for production materials, finished goods, promotional materials, and services, including External Manufacturing partners. The Director will co-lead the Integrated Business Planning Supply Review process, engaging with demand planning, develop new product launches, maintain adequate inventory levels, and ensure just-in-time inventory management while minimizing aging risks. Additionally, this role contributes to setting company strategy, objectives, and annual budgets, ensuring the business achieves its operating, financial, and growth targets. In this role, you will be responsible to lead the strategic and operational aspects of supply chain planning, encompassing bulk and finished goods supply planning for commercial products. The Director Supply Planning will lead the team to develop and execute best-in-class supply planning strategies, systems and processes through both our long range and near-term planning, materials procurement, and inventory management. This role oversees a diverse group of direct reports that focus on both internal and external Manufacturing Sites. This role requires strong direction from a leader who has in-depth knowledge of planning, procurement, inventory management, forecasting and strategy. They will manage a dynamic process across multiple brands within the US product portfolio.
- Work closely with Source and site teams to understand lead times, batch sizes, and manufacturing complexities for each product to develop and oversee comprehensive plans for bulk and finished goods production, ensuring alignment with customer demand
- Ensures timely availability of all materials for production at internal manufacturing sites, aligned to inventory target levels
- Partner with Operations, Demand Planning, Finance, Sourcing, Product Development, and other key functions to support the growth of the business and effectively manage our inventory investments
- Ensure a focus on improving long-term forecasting and supply strategies through partnership with sites and supplier capabilities to enhance supply chain resilience, including raw materials and packaging components
- Enhance the competitiveness of the organization with a focus on Profitability and Free Cash flow through achieving target service levels with standard production and transportation lead times, achieve gross inventory and Days of Supply targets
- Align long-range supply planning with financial planning, capacity assessments, and demand forecasts to ensure readiness for the future
- Monitor key leading and lagging indicators and hold the team accountable for improvement plans to meet overall Operations targets
- Ensure supply readiness for New Product Introductions to hit On Time Launches
- Embrace Digital - identify and drive implementation of opportunities that help streamline supply planning activities
What we are looking forRequired Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor Degree with a focus in: Business, Management Science, Economics, Supply Chain, Mathematics, Engineering). MBA or other relevant post graduate degree preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 10 years of diverse experience across any of the following areas, including 5+ years in a leadership role within a medium to large company: Supply Chain, Logistics, Customer Support, or Project Management is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning is preferred
- Deep knowledge and experience with planning, forecasting, procurement, supply chain operations, manufacturing
- Strong Analytical ability; creative problem solver
- Ability to influence across various levels of organization is required
- Experience leading, motivating, and holding accountable team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to use tact and diplomacy communicating with all levels
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a fast-paced matrixed and evolving environment where tight deadlines exist
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications is required; in-depth knowledge of SAP or OMP is required.
Desired Qualifications
- An IBF, APICS and/or Six Sigma Green Belt Certification is preferred.
What's in it for you Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:
$183, 175.00 - $258, 600.00
This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
