Role reports to: Senior Brand Manager

Location: Summit, NJ

Travel: 20% (or hours outside the working time zone for a global role)

Pay: Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges from $92, 000 to $149, 500. This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate's skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.

What you will do

As the Associate Brand Manager for Neutrogena, you will be at the forefront of driving marketing innovation and brand strategy. You will direct complex customer and competitor analyses, prepare insightful forecasts and recommendations, and cultivate a global forward-looking culture. Your role will include establishing key partnerships with agencies and suppliers, evaluating marketing tactics informed by in-depth market research, and contributing to the successful global launch of groundbreaking products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Innovate and Execute: Develop and implement innovative marketing strategies for Neutrogena, aligning with our company's vision and objectives. This includes spearheading innovation projects and impactful communication campaigns.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with cross-functional teams - product development, sales, and finance - to ensure seamless product launches and effective promotion strategies.
  • Trend Analysis: Identify and analyze emerging market trends and consumer insights to inform and refine marketing strategies and tactics, ensuring we stay ahead of the curve.
  • Marketing Tactics Evaluation: Stay abreast of industry developments and best practices to enhance our marketing efforts and drive brand growth. Utilize complex market access research to evaluate and derive effective marketing tactics.
  • Compliance and Leadership: Ensure all marketing initiatives comply with legal and regulatory standards, while leading cross-functional teams in market research and sales forecasting.
  • Strategic Input: Collaborate with finance, business development, and health economics teams to provide timely and relevant insights, and offer commercial input in collaboration with R& D teams.
  • Market-Focused Culture: Drive the creation of global and regional launch and marketing plans that foster a market-focused culture.
  • Agency and Supplier Relations: Establish and nurture strategic relationships with agencies and suppliers for product concept designs and mockups.
  • Budget Management: Contribute to the development of budgets for new product development and rollouts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Launch Tracking: Setting the KPI and tracking to ensure the successful execution of large-scale product launches that resonate with our consumers.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of progressive marketing experience within the beauty, derma skincare or premium consumer packaged goods sectors, with a proven track record at top-tier companies.
  • A creative and strategic thinker with a genuine passion for skincare and beauty, coupled with a deep understanding of market dynamics and consumer needs.
  • A proactive approach to staying current with industry trends, competitive landscape, and consumer preferences
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for market trends.
  • Proven experience in innovation and communications campaign development.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Adept at conducting and analyzing customer and competitor research.
  • Experience in budget development for new product initiatives and rollouts.


Desired Qualifications
  • An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • A proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Deep knowledge of the beauty and personal care industry is essential.
  • Expertise in branding, positioning, and pricing strategies.
