Description:

Empower your career at JPMorgan Chase as Mortgage Servicing Rights Product Controller, Vice President, within the Home Lending Controllers group.

As a Product Controller (Home Lending), Vice President within the Home Lending Controller group, you will be working closely with Capital Markets, Financial Control, P& A, Market Risk, Control and Technology to provide accurate P& L attribution, balance sheet substantiation, P& L forecasting, and financial analysis.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze daily P& L reports for Capital Markets, ensuring accuracy of the attribution and completeness
  • Perform monthly balance sheet and P& L reconciliations with Financial Control and ensure all discrepancies are investigated and resolved
  • Conduct variance analysis to explain changes in P& L and balance sheet positions, providing insights to senior management. Assisting in compilation of forecast submissions and revenue commentaries (forecast submissions includes monthly forecasts, budget updates, CCAR and other risk appetite report).
  • Preparation and review of 10Q/10K reporting submissions
  • Substantiation of MSR inputs, model changes, and results for analysis, risk management, and external reporting
  • Assist in internal audit and external audit requests
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of BAU reporting
  • Collaborate with stakeholders ( Capital Markets, Financial Control, P& A, Market Risk, Control and Technology ) to support business objectives and resolve issues


Required Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a subject of a technical nature
  • 6+ years of work experience, in Financial Services, and/or accounting/controller background.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and creative thinking skills
  • Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, and able to thrive and think clearly under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Curious, enthusiastic, diligent, and capable of challenging peers
  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly, develop a plan, and execute for results
  • Ability to build relationships with a diverse group of both technical and non-technical resources

Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Capabilities:
  • Knowledge of mortgage industry
  • SQL and VBA skills preferred
