As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking's Equities Electronic Trading team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

The Electronic Trading Group is a dynamic and expanding technology team focused on delivering timely testing solutions to meet the growing demands of our business. We are seeking a DevOps / Integration Specialist to join our Global Equities Electronic Trading team. This role is pivotal in setting up and maintaining a continuous integration environment and providing robust testing solutions for our electronic trading applications including Smart Order Router, Market Access, DMA/Sponsored DMA, Risk Control and Internal Matching Engine.

Job responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a framework for continuous integration environments, driving its adoption and evolution.
  • Automate testing processes and any manual workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure the successful completion of project testing activities and tasks, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Manage release processes, provide environment support, and offer production support as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members across different regions, contributing to a cohesive global team effort.
  • Conduct client, venue certification, and connectivity for various exchanges, markets, and dark pools.
  • Work with Business and End users to review business requirements and translate to tech specifications.
  • Test and validate individual applications and end-to-end integration.


Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced knowledge of programming language(s) - Unix Bash scripting, Python, and Java programming languages for Automation, Monitoring and Surveillance
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field


Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience with electronic trading technology.
  • Knowledge of Equities Trading Stack - Order Management Systems, ALGO, Smart Order Routers, Dark Pools, Equities exchange protocols
  • Knowledge of kdb/q is a plus
