Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Farm and Grounds Technician to be in Titusville, NJ.

Purpose:

Contributes to the Facilities Repair & Maintenance team as an experienced support individual contributor that executes tasks that are typically routine. Provides support for internal teams in the Facilities Services area. Follows routine administrative processes to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables. Maintains high standards of professionalism, efficiency, personal communication, discretion, and independent judgment.

You will be responsible for:

Farming: Care of livestock feeding and assist in calving and with veterinarian visits for beef cattle and sheep, maintenance of 240 acres with pasture and woodlands, fence lines, water tubs and manure cleaning and spreading requires operation of large and small equipment.

Landscaping: maintenance of lawns mowing, trimming, fertilizing, reseeding, mulching, trimming of trees and shrubs and take on various landscaping projects deemed necessary by the Group Leader. requires operation of large and small equipment.

Snow removal: clearing of parking lots and sidewalks during and after winter events keeping them clear and safe for employees. Requires operation of large and small equipment.

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on snow, landscaping and Farming equipment.

Additional responsibilities:

Must be able to perform the following jobs to work on the F& G's team:

* Lift 60 pounds chest high (hay bales) feeding cows.

* Lifting a new born calf onto the back of a pickup for a health check. (50 to 80 lbs.)

* Able to move quickly (run) when moving cattle/calves from field to field.

* Feed calves daily lifting 50 lbs. of bagged feed.

* Fence installs and repairs on the property. (4 1/2 miles of fence to maintain year round)

Must be able to lift 4"x6"x8' posts and 2"x6"x16' fence boards.

Working 3 to 4 hrs. + at a time for the following:

* Back pack blowers (30lbs) blowing leaves and debris.

* Operating chain saws/pole saws/weed whackers/bush trimmers (15/20 lbs.)

* Walking with a back pack sprayer (30+lbs.) spraying Pesticide/Herbicides.

* Mowing lawns/Fence lines 6 to 7 hours a day. Zero turn or F-series

* Push mowing, walking several hours at a time.

* Mowing fields in a tractor 6 to 7 hours a day.

* Snow plowing in a tractor or truck all day, sometimes up to 20 hours.

* Snow shoveling and lifting 50 lbs. of bagged salt.

* Being able to work through the night on major snow storms.

* Working outside in inclement weather year round for long periods of time.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma is required
  • Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience is required
  • Driver’s license
  • Experience in operating equipment related to landscaping, Farming and snow removal.
  • Must be a reliable worker who is able to perform routine tasks without supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail required.
  • Must be willing to obtain a herbicide and pesticide license.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

$50, 875.00 to $68, 800.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
