Job Description:

We are searching for the best talent for Head of Executive Talent Acquisition, Innovative Medicine, to be in New Brunswick, Raritan or Titusville in NJ, or Horsham or Spring House in PA.

The Head of Executive Talent Acquisition, J& J Innovative Medicine, will be responsible for shaping and delivering talent acquisition for the global Innovative Medicine organization in the Executive space. This role will report directly into the Global Head of Talent Acquisition, J& J Innovative Medicine and sit on the J& J Innovative Medicine Talent Acquisition Leadership Team.


This role will be responsible for turning the business’s people and capability strategies into an actionable talent acquisition plan while leading their team through execution and world class delivery. They will hands on lead a global team of recruiters who will create proactive recruiting plans leveraging data & analytics and approaches to address critical talent gaps, help the organization assess and select talent to meet the business needs of today and tomorrow, and position J& J to hire the top talent at all levels.

This highly collaborative and results focused leader will play a critical leadership role on the Innovative Medicine Talent Acquisition Leadership Team. This leader will partner closely with Senior Business and HR leaders, Total Rewards, Global Services HR, Corporate Services HR and BUHR to develop and deliver E2E talent acquisition insights and outcomes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and develop a geographically dispersed Talent Acquisition team of recruiters and dotted line reports who are responsible for developing and executing talent acquisition strategies leveraging internal and external data to acquire top talent in support of the business and talent objectives.
  • Partner with Business Unit Human Resources, senior business leaders in support of talent search, talent gap analyses and development of long-term strategies to support current and future talent requirements.
  • Deliver executive level internal/external data & insights to drive talent strategies and measurable outcomes, inclusive of root cause analysis and insights to strategy. Build data & analytics capabilities within the TA organization.
  • Lead through ongoing change, including technical/digital transformation in support of developing capabilities for the future.
  • Develop and implement differentiated Talent Acquisition strategies for key business priorities across J& J, spanning all candidate levels, demographics, functional disciplines, geographic regions, and business segments
  • Drive the E2E talent acquisition strategy and consistently represent the TA story and metrics to HR leadership and appropriate business partners, leveraging data platforms and reporting.
  • Drive operational excellence throughout the recruitment lifecycle and full TA team, including data integrity, and adherence to success metrics.
  • Understand the business strategy, consult on the overall aligned talent strategy and be able to deliver results in accordance with agreed upon metrics and SLAs.
  • Drive a strong talent assessment process and rigor across all hiring teams that ultimately delivers the best talent.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global team of recruiters aligned to the sector responsible for all elements of recruitment.
  • In partnership with senior leaders and the TA team, determine the best way to solve talent opportunities —includes the selection and managing of an external search firm partners or other talent solutions.
  • Proactively share market and competitive intelligence to inform talent, business and organizational design decisions.
  • Network with senior industry leaders, assess them and ultimately attract the highest skilled and credentialed professionals to join Johnson & Johnson.
  • Create and oversee competitive sourcing strategies for the sector, this includes building strong external partnerships.
  • Collaborate and influence other HR and functional partners, as appropriate, to ensure that J& J is able to attract the necessary talent for today and tomorrow. This includes Total Rewards, Mobility, BUHR, Global Talent Management, and Global Services.
  • Maintain understanding of innovative recruitment tools, technologies and best practices and utilize specific sourcing tools, technologies, and/or capabilities required for sector talent segments globally.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required, Master's Degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of direct, relevant and recent experience in Talent Acquisition or HR.
  • Prior people management in geo-dispersed settings is required.
  • Experience partnering with and influencing senior HR and Business leaders is required.
  • Experience in developing a comprehensive recruiting and/ or talent strategy to address diverse talent needs at the VP level is required.
  • Experience in both a corporate recruiting environment and a search firm is a plus.
  • The ability to translate a business strategy into an actionable recruiting strategy is required.
  • Deep proficiency and comfort leading with data and analytics, developing meaningful insights and translating into outcomes based executive summaries is required.
  • Must be a creative problem solver and have the ability and desire to live simultaneously in the worlds of strategy and operations is required.
  • A global talent perspective and experience working in a highly matrixed environment is required.
  • Must have exceptional communication (both written and verbal), influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Strong project management, analytical and critical thinking skills with thorough attention to detail is required.
  • Proven leadership and influencing skills
  • Exceptional assessment and interviewing skills and a strong command of assessment and selection methodologies, instruments and processes are required.
  • Proficiency with various candidate management, applicant tracking systems, HRIS and/or data tools is required.
  • Must be willing to travel, as needed

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

$146, 000 - $251, 850

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
