Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc. is recruiting for a Global Head of HR, Ethicon Platform Strategy, preferably based in Raritan, NJ.

As a Business Unit Global Head of HR, Ethicon Platform Strategy, you will provide strategic HR partnership in support of the Wound Closure, Biosurgery, Energy, and EndoMechanical Global Strategy organizations in addition to the Ethicon Strategy & Strategic Capabilities team across JNJ’s $10B MedTech Surgery (MTS) business unit. You be the HR Lead for our Surgery Business’ current portfolio renewal efforts too. You will contribute to shaping business strategy, and drive aligned outcomes in these focus areas:

• Leverage internal and external insights to diagnose and design organizations optimized to achieve strategic goals
• Design and deploy data-driven talent strategies that curate the talent and capabilities required to deliver
• Shape and steward our culture and employee experiences that will attract, inspire, and retain top talent
• Accelerate performance through leadership coaching and team effectiveness

Core responsibilities include:

Ensuring business excellence:

• Deliver Pipeline Milestones and Time to Value: ensure clarity of goals and ways of working for multiple cross-functional leadership teams to deliver a rich pipeline of innovation ($10B+)
• Reimagine Platform Pipelines: coach Platform teams to evaluate pipeline health, ensuring inorganic and organic opportunities to fuel growth, partnering closely with BD
• Enable Ways-of-Working: Enable productive ways of collaborating across all platforms, globally, with focus on clear decision making, work flow, and stakeholder management
• Shape new capabilities: aligned with the operating model evolution across MedTech, ensure all enabling capability team design and ways of working are producing positive business results
• Create Transparency and Accountability: Aligned with MTS’s Leadership Expectations, support culture and change strategies that support an environment of ethical leadership, results-focus, bold ideas, and engagement across all teams for increased success & impact.
• Supports Acquisition & Divestitures – supports partner & licensing decisions, deal due diligence, and integration support to rapidly onboard or offboard assets.

Talent strategy and management to build organizational capability:

• Shape and lead Ethicon President talent roadmap, including skill assessment, leader upskilling, location & mobility strategies, change management, ultimately strengthening MTS critical President pipelines
• Develops and executes a strategic workforce plan (build/buy/partner) across all regions and MTS functions to deliver end-to-end business effectiveness (patient journey, supply chain, professional education, R& D, commercial, automation, data & analytics).
• Execute DE& I strategy in partnership with the business
• Partner across OneHR model to assess current state and enhance capability through buy/build/borrow strategy in partnership with Talent Acquisition/Access and J& J Learn

Promoting collaboration culture & Engagement:

• Serve as a connector across a network of HR professionals to drive MTS Platform strategies, change management, and HR education.
• Partner with business leaders to shape culture and employee engagement strategies guided by Our Credo/Our Voice survey insights, employee sentiment, attrition and exit survey insights, predictive retention modeling, etc.
• Identify, define, and help build key mindsets/behaviors for the business in partnership with business leaders
• Drive culture of Our Credo, growth, collaboration, and inclusion within teams

Leadership coaching and effectiveness

• Develop trusted partnerships and coaching relationships with leaders and teams to build leadership capabilities and enhance leader impact
• Partner with business leaders on team effectiveness program options and identification of facilitators
• Ensure meaningful engagement, development, energy, and effective performance of team

Key Qualifications include:

• 10+ years professional experience, including managerial experience coaching and leading talent; minimum of 7 years of progressive HR or HR related experience required
• This position will be located in Raritan, NJ and require up to 30% travel.

The base pay range for this position is $173, 000 - $299, 000.

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis. Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.
