The
Global DEI Insights & Engagement Leader will be primarily focused on bringing cutting-edge insights, research, and best practices to the forefront. The Global DEI Insights & Engagement Leader will analyze trends, curate and disseminate DEI knowledge across the enterprise, advise on strategic initiatives, and connect external research with internal data to drive evidence-based decisions. This will involve collaborating with our analytics teams to update our data visualization tool, Visier to provide greater insights to our DEI and HR teams globally. Additionally, this person will partner with our external thought partners to help shape research and identify external trends that could impact the DEI and HR functions. Key projects in portfolio will include We All Belong DEI Impact Review, DEI Maturity Model, DEI Data Insights (inclusive of Visier), Reputational Surveys.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical, communication, and consulting skills, with a passion for driving meaningful change in DEI.
You will be responsible for: Strategic Responsibilities (50%)- Lead the production of the annual DEI Impact Review, overseeing design, data gathering, content curation, and collaboration with various stakeholders including writers, proofreaders, and design teams.
- Leverage external research and internal data to generate insights and enable evidence-based decision making
- Analyzes current trends and curates, distributes, and amplifies DEI knowledge and resources to the enterprise while advising on strategic initiatives for specific regions and business areas.
- Partner with head of DEI Strategic partnerships to manage key DEI surveys in alignment with our overall DEI and HR Employer of Choice strategies
- Partner with HR, Community Benefits, Philanthropy, Supplier Diversity, and Health Equity teams to coordinate DEI data collection and ensure accurate benchmark representation.
- Work with People Analytics to translate DEI data into compelling narratives that engage employees, showcase progress, and enhance J& J's reputation.
- Monitor DEI trends, issues, and solutions to proactively address future challenges and their impact on DEI initiatives.
Operational Responsibilities (40%) - Develop and maintain KPIs to track and measure DEI progress
- Partner and collaborate with ODEI and Communications leads to share best practices, prevent overlap, and ensure consistent messaging for the enterprise DEI strategy
- Develop and disseminate resources and tools to support a cohesive internal DEI communications strategy, including overseeing the management of the DEI portal.
- Partner with people analytics to shape the data and insights for external human capital disclosures
- Conduct ongoing research on global demographic trends and practices, identifying and recommending strategies for improving our efforts through innovative and solution focused ideas
- Manage internal data verification processes and participate in third-party audits (e.g., PwC, GA& A, ERM CVS) to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
People Responsibilities (10%) - Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team environment.
- Demonstrate resilience and adaptability to drive change and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Build and leverage subject matter expertise and resources across the enterprise to support DEI projects.
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years in data analytics, project management, stakeholder engagement, or a related field within DEI or organizational development space
Knowledge/Skills:
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights within DEI/organizational development or Human Resources.
- Knowledge of current DEI trends, best practices, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and experience creating impactful presentations.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration, and project management.
- Familiar with inclusive messaging and a storytelling mindset with the ability to create a vision for communications and engagement.
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to identify and articulate DEI trends
Preferred:
- MBA or Graduate Level Degree in Marketing, Management, Human Resources, Communications, Sustainability, etc.
For candidates based in the United States, The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120, 000 to $207, 000. The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis. Employees may be eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs such as health insurance, savings plan, pension plan, disability plan, vacation pay, sick time, holiday pay, and work, personal and family time off in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
