Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Dual-Qualified Helicopter Captain/Airplane Pilot to join our Aviation team located in West Trenton, NJ.

Captain Helicopter

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the safe, consistent, legal and efficient operation of company aircraft in compliance with all applicable federal regulations, as well as company policies, standards, and procedures;
  • Manages the flight crew when away from home base;
  • Directs the activities of the SIC and ensures that flight crew members understand fully and completely what duties they are expected to perform;
  • Participates in the Safety Management System.

Duties:

  • Complies with all required duties and standards established in this manual;
  • Ensures that the aircraft’s interior is inspected for cleanliness and the proper supplies and equipment for flight;
  • When satisfied the aircraft is ready for flight, accepts the aircraft with their signature in the logbook;
  • Operates the aircraft within aircraft limitations;
  • Completes all postflight duties, including notifying the company of deviations to any planned itinerary or overnight location;
  • Records flight times and aircraft defects;
  • Advises the Senior Manager - Aircraft Maintenance of any maintenance problems discovered while away from home base;
  • Ensures the proper conduct of other crew members on their assigned flight;
  • Remains in contact with passengers and be available at all times while on the road;
  • Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot.

Qualifications:

  • Holds an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, Rotorcraft and is type rated in the appropriate aircraft in which they are to act as PIC;
  • 3, 000 hours total time;
  • 500 hours Helicopter
  • AW 139 experience and type rating preferred
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in larger multi-engine helicopters;
  • First Class Medical; • Recent experience in high-density areas preferred; • Satisfactory employment record, evidence of progressive advancement;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office;
  • United States citizen;
  • Education – 4 year College degree desired;
  • Under 65 years of age;

Pilot – Airplane

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the PIC in the safe consistent, legal and efficient operation of company aircraft in compliance with all applicable federal and international regulations as well as company policies, standards, and procedures;
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of a Captain;
  • Assumes PIC duties, including control of the flight, in the event of PIC incapacitation;
  • Participates in the Safety Management System.

Duties:

  • Flies the aircraft per the directions of the PIC in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Performs takeoffs and landings under the authority of the PIC;
  • Be familiar with and follow procedures as set forth in the Federal Regulations and the Flight Operations Manual;
  • In the absence of a Flight Engineer, assumes the Flight Engineer’s duties on the ground and whatever inflight duties that are consistent with safety;
  • Assists the PIC during times of high cockpit workload;
  • Maintains revisions of all assigned aeronautical publications or other administrative duties;
  • Studies and prepares for upgrading to Captain; and
  • Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief Pilot, and/or PIC.

Qualifications:

  • Holds a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Airplane Multi-Engine Land and Instrument Ratings;
  • ATP minimum hours (as applicable);
  • 500 hours multi-engine airplane and turbine experience desired;
  • Minimum of 100 hours instrument;
  • Minimum of 100 hours night;
  • ATP written completed;
  • ATP must be completed within the first 180 days of employment;
  • First class medical;
  • FCC Radio Telephone Operator Permit;
  • Recent experience as pilot on multi-engine jet aircraft in high-density areas;
  • Flight check by Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief Pilot, or Training Captain;
  • Satisfactory employment record;
  • Evidence of desire and ability to advance to title of Captain and the role of PIC; United States citizen;

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

$137, 000-$235, 750
