Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies is recruiting for a Global Data Director. This position will be in New Brunswick, NJ or Pinewood, UK.

This position is for a two-year duration role, with a projected end date of July 2027.

A preselected candidate has been identified, but additional candidates will also be considered.

The Director, Global Data Business Process and Design will be a part of the MedTech Digital Data Strategy and Operations Leadership Team and will be closely linked into the MedTech Business Transformation PMO, a multi-year global business transformation initiative that will modernize our end-to-end digital capabilities by harmonizing our disparate ecosystem of 40+ major global MedTech ERP systems. This role is responsible for defining the global end-to-end business data creation and maintenance strategy while working with each Data deployment leader on implementation across global MedTech.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Define the global end-to-end Master Data Governance (MDG) strategy while partnering with each deployment lead and run-state operations on implementation and continuous improvement.
  • Establish Master Data Governance KPIs, quality controls, and escalation frameworks to maintain high-quality master data across domains (Material, Customer, Vendor, Finance, etc.) while adhering to data standards and meta data alignment.
  • Establish protocols to identify and drive continuous improvements in the E2E master data maintenance process, automation, integrations, and data lineage tracking.
  • Strong partnership within MedTech SC, Finance, PLM, Commercial, R& D, Enterprise SC Data Governance leads to ensure alignment of strategies, R& R and decision-making process.
  • Drive multi-functional Master Data Governance engagement with functional, regional, and global collaborators to establish sustainable data ownership models.
  • Partner with supply chain business process owners, and deployment leads to embed MDG capabilities into end-to-end operations.
  • Responsible for translating business/functional into data requirements to enable business processes across the supply chain.
  • Ensure ongoing updates and alignment to the global template.
  • Manage cross-program process design interdependencies for respective areas of responsibility, by collaborating with respective collaborators to implement controls, cadence, and risk mitigations.
  • Ensure quality delivery of team deliverables on time and within budget.
  • Influence senior leadership and guide organizational change to embed data stewardship culture across business functions.
  • Partner with the business adoption team to ensure organisational change, business readiness, site readiness, and training are delivered to meet business needs.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Requires a minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations, Supply Chain, or large transformation programs.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of Master Data business experience and data life-cycle management in Supply Chain across plan/make/source/deliver.
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of business process design or optimization in context of ERP programs.
  • Leading industry practice of data management and demonstrated hands-on project delivery required.
  • Experience in designing, developing, implementing, and leading data sets required to enable operational technological processes within a global organization required.
  • Deep understanding of business process integration with master data across key value streams (Plan, Make, Deliver, Finance, Commercial).
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to simplify complexity, guide executive decisions, and drive accountability.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiating skills, with validated ability to influence/collaborate to get to desired result.
  • Requires people management and development experience.
  • Strong customer focus (internal & external), including development and management of collaborators.
  • Ability to effectively lead and govern multi-functional decision-making bodies required.
  • Knowledge in deploying standardized work processes, tools, and templates required.
  • Skilled at engaging and building relationships with senior business collaborators required.
  • Exceptional business and digital competence, including ERP & workflow expertise required.
  • Experience working in a complex, multi-ERP / system environment required.

Other:

  • Requires Travel: up to 20% domestic and international.
