This position will be responsible for ensuring continued organizational readiness and compliance to the Inflation Reduction Act requirements and emerging government programs, as well as, support the development of policy campaigns to position Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine for future success and business growth in the US market. The Strategic Customer Group is responsible for the development and execution of strategies that ensure optimal access and reimbursement for the Janssen portfolio. Key stakeholders include health plans, health systems, hospital and physician group purchasing organizations, specialty pharmacy providers, pharmacy benefit managers, wholesalers, retailers, federal and state government health care providers and national and regional advocacy organizations.
Responsibilities include:
Partner with SCG, Brand, Medical, US Policy and Public Affairs teams to prepare for IRA negotiations across the portfolio of J& J Innovative Medicine brands. Develop and execute strategy for embedding IRA negotiation planning and best practices across the organization.
Develop and maintain expertise on the IRA program and impacts to manufacturer, patient, provider and plans impacts, as well as, other emerging government programs. Infuse IRA learnings into the organization and ensure they are incorporated into franchise planning. Lead and shape internal IRA education and develop external IRA educational resources.
Partner with IRA price effectuation team to ensure aligned understanding of implications on our business as well as external stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop action plans to prepare for and comply with requirements. Develop internal and external education resources.
Collaborate with Health Policy & Government Affairs to shape strategic options and provide input on IRA and emerging government programs. Support policy, stakeholder mapping and strategic planning with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and pull-through. Ensure appropriate internal organizational communication.
Support the design and execution of policy campaigns in partnership with US Policy and Advocacy, Federal Affairs, State Affairs and Public Affairs.
Prepare leadership updates on IRA, emerging programs and campaigns in partnership with SCG and US Policy teams.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree or MBA preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required
Seven years of work experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry required.
Must demonstrate strong strategy, innovation, collaboration and analytical skills.
A strong communicator that can lead delivery and creation of innovative and tailored communications to educate and mobilize critical stakeholders is required.
Preferred
Three year’s prior marketing experience strongly preferred.
Deep understanding of the U.S. Market Access environment and reimbursement.
Stong understanding of the IRA policy, strategic considerations and implications.
Ability to effectively operate and lead in a matrix environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Commercial, Scientific, Government Affairs & Policy teams.
Demonstrated ability to stand up a program and manage multiple workstreams towards clear milestones and a common action plan.
Intellectual curiosity to learn more about the evolving health care and policy landscape and ability to leverage insights to anticipate and prepare for the future.
Comfort with ambiguity and shaping new ways of working.
Demonstrated high-level of integrity and J& J Credo mindset.
Other:
Flexibility to travel within Janssen campuses as needed as this position will be based in Titusville NJ with required travel to Horsham, PA.
TBD Required domestic travel up to 25% for required meetings, training, customer visits, etc.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
