Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a(n) Director, Data Security, located in Raritan, NJ.

The Director, Data Security, develops, periodically updates, and drives an enterprise strategy for protection of company data, including the identification and cataloging of critical data, leading the implementation and governance of data security measures and controls across the company, development of supporting processes, and engaging with legal, HR, Privacy and other partners to ensure alignment with company policies. They also collaborate with technology teams to research and evaluate emerging and/or innovative data security methods and support initiatives to raise user awareness. Lastly, the Director will provide strategic direction and make feature and investment decisions for the Company's global Asset Management tool.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, periodically update, and drive a global data security strategy consistent with industry cybersecurity frameworks. Present strategy to both senior technology and business leaders.

Lead major programs and initiatives to deploy data security measures to the global user base, collaborating with various technology and risk teams across the organization.

Develop supporting processes, ensuring alignment with legal, HR and other partners.

Define program metrics, and report status to management.

Partner with technology teams to evaluate emerging data security/protection technologies.

Drive and govern initiatives to identify sensitive data across the enterprise, catalog the data in structured repositories, and ensure security measures and controls are in place.

Provides strategic direction and make investment decisions for supporting tools.

Provide People Leadership for the Data Security team.Education:

• BA/BS degree or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT Security

Experience and Skills:

Required:

• 10 years of Information Security/IT Risk Management/IT experience with growing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in information security and working with and/or leading strong performing teams. Solid grasp of traditional and emerging cyber threats.
• Experience with data security concepts and capabilities, including direct experience with deploying data security measures in a large, global organization.
• Demonstrable record of effectively working with virtual, global teams, including diverse groups of people with varied backgrounds and cultural experiences.
• Good communication and proven influencing skills
• Experience at a large multinational organization.
• Ability to lead a diverse staff.

Preferred:

MS/advanced degree or equivalent

Other:

• Proficiency in English
• 10% Travel
• Information Security & Risk Management certifications preferred.
• The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142, 000 -$244, 950
