Purpose: This role is vital for improving patient outcomes by enhancing access to affordable financial services. The Associate Director will guide the patient financial journey, ensuring seamless support.

This individual will improve existing copay support capabilities. The aim is to simplify requirements for patients, providers, and field support while enhancing accessibility. They will also design and optimize financial services solutions that address the needs of business partners, focusing on patient accessibility and optimizing cash flow. Building partnerships within the cost support ecosystem is essential for streamlining program management and improving satisfaction.

Collaboration with counterparts is crucial for establishing tracking, reporting, and analysis methods to evaluate both new and existing program performance. This role requires insightful analysis based on program health to drive continuous improvement.

Commitment to direct communication, accountability, and budget awareness is key to the success of financial services initiatives that ultimately enhance patient health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft Innovative Solutions: Implement new financial services solutions to improve patient reach, reduce administrative costs, and enhance cash flow.
  • Build Strategic Partnerships: Scale collaborations in the financial services market to streamline program management and improve patient satisfaction.
  • Enhance Existing Capabilities: Upgrade existing copay support programs to improve accessibility in the market.
  • Leverage Modular Designs: Apply flexible designs for cost support initiatives to optimize resource allocation across therapy areas and lower administrative costs.
  • Track and Analyze Program Health: Enable tracking and reporting methods to improve program performance understanding and continuous improvement.
  • Program Insight Generation: Analyze program data for insights that inform strategic decisions and strengthen partner alignment.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's degree required; MA/MBA preferred.

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in healthcare business required; experience in pharmaceutical cost support preferred.
  • Domain Expertise: Experience in patient access, call center operations, patient experience, and reimbursement strategy. Understanding of financial support resources in the US market is essential.
  • Leadership: Ability to lead and influence team members without direct authority; comfort in ambiguous environments preferred.
  • Healthcare Economics: Understanding value-based healthcare and reimbursement systems.
  • Data Platforms: Familiarity with data platforms for compliant patient access and affordability programs preferred.
  • Analytics Skills: Strong ability to interpret data for business strategy and success metrics preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written skills to simplify complex concepts and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Effective in team environments; skilled in coordinating activities and building partnerships.
  • Resourcefulness: Use knowledge and resources to resolve customer problems and ensure satisfaction; embrace challenges and risks.
  • Accountability: Set and own ambitious goals with proactive follow-through.
  • Flexibility: Adjust priorities dynamically in response to changing circumstances; comfortable in complex environments.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $120, 000 to $207, 000.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.

Employees and/or eligible dependents may be eligible to participate in the following Company sponsored employee benefit programs: medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, business accident insurance, and group legal insurance.

Employees may be eligible to participate in the Company’s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

  • Vacation – up to 120 hours per calendar year
  • Sick time - up to 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington – up to 56 hours per calendar year
