Description:

We offer the right candidate great benefits and a base plus commission compensation plan with high earning potential! This role would report directly to the Vice President of Sales & Customer Enablement.

Responsibilities:
  • Attain assigned annual sales goals & KPIs
  • Prospect and develop new white space opportunities and leads to share with the Sales Teams
  • Successfully manage a short, mid and long-term strategic sales plan to attain a deep understanding and trust within Sales territory
  • Actively maintain and communicate sales territory activity, notes, updates, call reports and opportunities with sales peers, sales leadership and product management as well as within Salesforce.com
  • Coordinate and transition qualified sales opportunities with other Sales Team members
  • Provide timely feedback to sales peers, sales leadership, product management and marketing on developing industry trends, new product ideas and competitive intelligence within assigned sales territory
  • Facilitate and develop trusting relationships on all levels within Sales territory accounts
  • Develop and manage impactful content to support outreach efforts and effectively engage prospects within the assigned sales territory.
Requirements:
  • Must have 3 to 5 years' experience and successful track record within a complex sales environment and comfortable with talking to a wide range of solutions to customer decision influencers and the ability to coordinate and collaborate with internal peers to secure buy-in from internal stakeholders and motivators
  • Self-starter with proven pre-sales or consulting experience in enterprise accounts and a proven track record of sales strategy, industry and organizational leadership.
  • Possess a structured approach to selling that includes strong prospecting skills and the ability to sell based on business value.
  • Able to articulate Verisk's value proposition across several solutions, industry insights and engage customers in jointly addressing business priorities and objectives that align with their business needs and timelines
  • Prior success calling on company executives in a highly competitive marketplace is a plus
  • Able to quickly gain knowledge of your customers' business and discuss issues from multiple angles
  • Able to quickly understand the customer decision-making process and influence key decision makers
  • Experience with working in a team selling environment
  • Solid understanding of the P& C industry a plus
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
  • Professional Training Program experience a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Salesforce.com
  • Experience and success with multi-year contracts exceeding $250K a plus
  • Ability to work from a remote home office effectively
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 10% of the time
