JOB DESCRIPTION

Join Chubb North America's Personal Risk Services (PRS) technology team as a Senior Quality Engineer and help us lead the next evolution of quality engineering in an AI-driven world. We are seeking a technically exceptional engineer with deep experience in automation and AI who is eager to drive innovation and accelerate our quality engineering capabilities. In this role, you will take ownership of quality across two of our most critical digital product groups-customer-facing and agent-facing web and mobile platforms-setting the technical direction and ensuring every release meets the highest standards of excellence. You'll have the opportunity to be both hands-on and strategic, architecting automation frameworks, evaluating and implementing AI-powered quality tools, and developing and executing quality strategies that directly impact product velocity, defect escape rates, and user confidence. As part of Chubb's Quality Engineering Chapter, you'll collaborate across teams, sharing best practices and influencing the evolution of quality engineering throughout the organization. PRS Digital is the technology engine behind insuring some of the world's most complex and high-value personal risks, and our clients, agents, and internal teams rely on our platforms to be fast, reliable, and intuitive-making your work central to delivering world-class experiences. If you are passionate about modern quality engineering, thrive in a collaborative, high-velocity environment, and want to play a key role in shaping the future of quality at Chubb, we invite you to join us and make a lasting impact.

In this role, you will:
  • Champion unified quality strategy across customer- and agent-facing product groups, aligning quality goals with roadmaps and release cadences
  • Define and enforce consistent automation frameworks, quality gates, and testing standards across UI, API, and integration layers
  • Translate business and product risks into robust test coverage models, ensuring critical user journeys are protected by automated regression
  • Establish, track, and report on key quality KPIs (defect escape rate, automation coverage, cycle time reduction) to engineering leadership
  • Architect, build, and evolve scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Cucumber, and Postman to support end-to-end, BDD, and API testing
  • Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines with quality gate enforcement and coverage dashboards, leveraging tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and SonarQube
  • Mentor QA Engineers and partner cross-functionally to embed quality into every delivery stage, drive shift-left BDD practices, and lead continuous improvement through retrospectives and root-cause analysis

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years in quality engineering, building and scaling test automation for complex web and mobile apps; experience with digital insurance platforms (Property & Casualty)
  • Expert with Playwright, Cucumber, and Postman for UI and API automation in CI pipelines
  • Experience integrating automation into CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and enforcing quality gates (SonarQube)
  • Familiar with AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., self-healing frameworks, AI test generation, LLM-based data synthesis)
  • 3+ years leading QA teams, driving end-to-end quality strategy and stakeholder alignment
  • Skilled in defect lifecycle management (Jira, Zephyr, X-Ray), mobile testing (Appium, Espresso), and clear communication of quality risks
  • Exposure to performance testing (JMeter, k6, Gatling) preferred
  • Experience with AI coding assistants/GenAI feature testing preferred
  • Agile team experience with a focus on rapid delivery preferred

The pay range for the role is $85, 000 to $120, 000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant's skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. Chubb offers a comprehensive benefits package, more details on which can be found on our careers website. The disclosed pay range estimate may be adjusted for the applicable geographic differential for the location in which the position is filled.
