What you will enjoy doing*
- In this role you will develop expertise in research and application of thermal spray coatings for thermal, wear and corrosion protection
- You will align technical parameters with commercial project objectives to achieve desired outcomes
- Further operate thermal spray equipment and designs/modifies tooling and fixturing for new and improved processes
- Analyze data and resolves technical challenges to drive product and process development forward
- Document experiments and maintains operating procedures, safety training and technical instructions
- Additionally collaborate with customers and teams while contributing to productivity improvements using Lean and Six Sigma
What makes you great
- You will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Additionally you will have hands-on experience in industrial, automotive or laboratory environments
- Further strong project management skills with ability to manage tasks effectively
- Familiarity with thermal spray technologies is preferred
- Basic programming knowledge such as Python, MATLAB or C, and CAD/tooling experience like SolidWorks or Inventor is preferred
- Willingness to travel up to 25% and meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 40 lbs. and extended standing or sitting
