How will you make an impact?

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive entry level Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting our lead Buyer with sourcing and procuring components to support both production and prototype builds. You will play a key role in ensuring timely delivery, optimal pricing, inventory management, and record keeping while supporting the overall supply chain strategy.

What will you do?

• Assist in the execution and maintain the Materials Requirement Plan (MRP) to ensure material availability for production.
• Monitor and manage the materials pipeline to meet production schedules and resolve supply issues.
• Issue purchase orders in alignment with negotiated pricing, terms, and conditions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and resolve quality or delivery issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing data and planning parameters to minimize material liability.
• Support the Master Production Schedule (MPS) through effective materials sizing and planning.
• Partner with internal teams including Buyers, Commodity Managers, and Accounts Payable to support procurement and resolve discrepancies.
• Track and report supplier performance in terms of delivery, quality, and service.
• Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and freight expense reduction strategies.

How will you get here?

Education:

• Associates degree or an equivalent mix of education and experience

Experience:

• Strong computer skills required
• Previous experience in a procurement, supply chain, or materials planning role preferred but not required
• Familiarity with manufacturing environments and production planning processes helpful
• Data entry or previous administrative experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfort with learning new systems
• Ability to perform calculations involving percentages, ratios, and basic algebra/geometry.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
