This highly skilled position will support our operations efficiency through troubleshooting and maintaining manufacturing equipment and processes. This position will work night shift; 8-12 hour shifts (including weekends, holidays, and overtime when needed). Night shift differential - $1.50-$2.00/hour.
Our Team The Georgia-Pacific Gypsum facility in Newington, NH produces a variety of gypsum wallboard, roof decking, and sheathing products. What You Will Do - Work with operation employees, mechanics, engineers, and other team members to improve reliability and performance of equipment
- Driving and supporting instrumentation and electrical preventive and predictive maintenance functions.
- Troubleshooting and repairing 24VDC and 120VAC instrumentation and electrical controls, 120VAC and 480VAC electrical equipment and functions in the facility.
- Recommending and supporting maintenance functions and electrical PM's for the facility; to include reviewing/updating all existing PM's and generating new PM's per equipment as new equipment is installed or upgraded; work order, repairs, and improvement projects.
- Observing areas for plant improvements and presenting opportunities for ongoing improvement projects
- Promoting safety through proactive involvement in safety training, alignment with the company's risk tolerance, and implementation of Electrical Safe Work Practices
- Possessing strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Possessing a quest for knowledge/willingness to learn, a sense of urgency, self-motivation, humility, and the courage to ask for help when needed.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) - One of the following:
- Associates degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Systems, Instrumentation, or Electronic Technology and proven hands-on electrical experience
- Proven hands on electrical or instrument & control systems troubleshooting experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or military environment
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing various electrical and electronic equipment ranging in voltages from 24 VDC to 480 VAC
What Will Put You Ahead - Experience troubleshooting control systems, PLCs, HMI, instrumentation flowmeters, transmitters, photo eyes, proximity sensors, robotics, and other types of instrumentation and electronic components
- Experience with Allen-Bradley and Yasakawa drives
- Experience with power distribution systems and components, including 3-phase motor controls, 480VAC systems, and low voltage DC systems
- Mechanical maintenance experience, including fluid handling and conveyor systems, hydraulic systems and accumulators, and valve identification and application and welding
- Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Experience and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Experience in diagnosing, programming, repairing, and replacing variable frequency drives
