Compass of Hope Counseling, PLLC is hiring a Remote Medical Director - Psychiatrist (MD/DO Licensed in NH) in Hampton, NH. This is a full-time position.
Compass of Hope is a growing outpatient mental health agency providing counseling, psychiatric medication management, and innovative treatment services throughout New Hampshire. We are committed to providing compassionate, ethical, and high-quality care while creating a collaborative and supportive environment for our clinical team. We are seeking an experienced psychiatrist to serve as our Remote Medical Director and provide consultation, clinical leadership, and medical oversight to our team of psychiatric nurse practitioners. Position Overview The Medical Director will work closely with the Practice Owner and leadership team to support the quality, safety, and compliance of the agencys psychiatric services. This is a flexible, primarily remote position designed for a psychiatrist who enjoys mentoring providers, supporting clinical decision-making, and helping shape high-quality behavioral healthcare services. The Medical Director will provide one hour of scheduled group supervision and consultation each week and remain reasonably available to nurse practitioners for clinical consultation between meetings. Key Responsibilities Provide consultation and clinical guidance to psychiatric nurse practitioners.Facilitate one hour of remote group supervision or clinical consultation each week.Remain reasonably available by telephone, secure email, or text for time-sensitive provider questions.Support nurse practitioners with complex cases, diagnostic questions, medication management concerns, and treatment planning.Provide guidance regarding high-risk prescribing, controlled medications, polypharmacy, adverse reactions, and treatment-resistant conditions.Work closely with the Practice Owner and leadership team regarding clinical compliance, quality standards, risk management, and medical policies.Review and provide recommendations regarding psychiatric protocols, workflows, documentation standards, and prescribing practices.Support quality-assurance and performance-improvement initiatives.Assist with the clinical interviewing, onboarding, and evaluation of psychiatric providers as requested.Provide clinical input regarding provider performance concerns, remediation, or disciplinary processes when appropriate.Help identify when patients require specialty consultation, emergency evaluation, hospitalization, or a higher level of care.Promote ethical, evidence-based, patient-centered, and collaborative psychiatric care.
