Essential Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily wastewater treatment operations to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant performance
• Lead and support wastewater operators, including scheduling, training, coaching, and performance feedback
• Ensure wastewater from production processes is properly managed, treated, and discharged according to permit and regulatory requirements
• Monitor system performance and make operational adjustments as needed to maintain compliance and efficiency
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and reports related to wastewater operations and environmental compliance
• Coordinate closely with Production, Maintenance, and EHS teams to support uninterrupted plant operations
• Perform routine wastewater testing and monitoring to ensure system performance stays within required limits
• Collect and review samples as required and coordinate with internal or external laboratories for testing and reporting
• Respond to operational issues or system upsets and take timely corrective action to restore normal conditions
• Support environmental inspections, audits, and reporting requirements as needed
• Ensure equipment and treatment systems are functioning properly and communicate maintenance needs
• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and ensure all team members follow safety policies and procedures
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency, and cost savings where applicable

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 3+ years of experience in wastewater operations or industrial plant environments preferably in a food manufacturing, dairy, or other industrial production environments
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Experience working with production or utility systems in a plant setting
• Basic understanding of environmental regulations and wastewater compliance requirements
• Strong communication and team leadership skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to respond to operational issues quickly
