Your Job

Koch Ag & Energy Solutions (KAES) is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join our Central Plains Nitrogen (CPN) team! This individual will utilize reliability tools, risk adjusted thinking, and long-term strategy development to improve asset performance.

Our Team

We work closely with the Operations, Maintenance and Project organizations for multiple production facilities in North America and will be responsible for all aspects of the asset life cycle for process equipment. Koch Fertilizer, LLC is the primary business that our team supports.

This position includes up to 25% travel and can be officed at one of the following CPN associated sites:

Beatrice, NE

Dodge City, KS

Ft Dodge, IA

Wichita, KS

What You Will Do

  • Focus on the application of reliability tools/methodology for process equipment that supports business objectives
  • Develop asset strategies and advocate for implementation of best practices across the fleet. Strategies lead to optimized life cycle costs of equipment and prevent unplanned failures
  • Lead root cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of high impact equipment failures and identify appropriate corrective actions
  • Champion opportunities to transition from time-based maintenance activities to condition-based maintenance; define and identify solutions to obtain data that can provide actionable insights
  • Partner complementary to other technical support roles in order to bring improved results to asset performance and decision making
  • Support capital projects related to equipment, including scope development, materials selection, engineering design review, and construction oversight
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including maintenance, operations, and other engineering disciplines to identify and address equipment-related challenges
  • Support unplanned failures/troubleshooting, turnaround scoping, outages, and maintenance events; focus on achieving superior results during these events


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Experience in maintenance or reliability engineering
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in reliability engineering in an industrial manufacturing industry
  • Proficiency in using reliability software and tools for data analysis and predictive maintenance
  • Demonstrated application of reliability centered maintenance methodology
