Senior UI Architect

ACI Worldwide

ACI Worldwide is seeking an experienced Senior UI Architect to lead front-end architecture across our enterprise web applications in Omaha, NE or Norcross, GA. You'll design scalable, high-performance user interfaces, establish technical standards, and mentor engineering teams while driving innovation in our digital platform.

What You'll Do

Architecture & Technical Leadership
  • Design and architect scalable front-end solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and TypeScript
  • Define technical standards, design patterns, and best practices for component-based architecture and state management
  • Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance on performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility
  • Translate business and UX requirements into technical specifications and front-end architecture roadmaps
  • Make critical technology decisions balancing innovation, maintainability, and user experience
  • Establish and evolve design system architecture and component library strategy
  • Define front-end testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing approaches

Innovation & Strategy
  • Design and architect modern front-end solutions using React/Vue/Angular and TypeScript
  • Define technical standards, design patterns, and component architecture best practices
  • Lead architectural reviews focused on performance, accessibility (WCAG), and scalability
  • Mentor front-end teams and conduct design/code reviews
  • Collaborate with UX, product, and backend teams to align technical solutions
  • Research emerging technologies and drive adoption of modern development practices
  • Establish UI performance metrics and monitoring strategies

What You Bring

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years front-end development experience, 3+ years in architecture/leadership
  • Expert-level JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular)
  • Deep knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and web performance optimization
  • Experience architecting large-scale, high-traffic web applications
  • Strong understanding of component architecture, state management, and accessibility
  • Proficiency with build tools (Webpack, Vite), testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress)
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SSR/SSG, micro-frontends, and design systems
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, CI/CD, and monorepo management
  • AWS/cloud certifications or open-source contributions
  • Background in UX/UI design principles
