NOTE: This is an entry-level or immediate-level opportunity within our Elkhorn, Nebraska office. Entry-level applicants should currently reside in the Omaha area, have a 4-year college degree in business, technology, or a related field, and should have specific product management-related studies and/or projects, e.g., Agile Development process familiarity.

Job Summary:

As a Product Owner, you are a member of a team responsible for managing and communicating the ACI Retail Banking product vision and strategy to our stakeholders, customers, and scrum team(s). You are accountable for maximizing the value of our development team(s) through backlog management, prioritization, and clearly defined acceptance criteria. You help make decisions about product features and are available to assist the scrum teams and stakeholders with product and priority questions.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Communicate the product vision to all stakeholders
  • Prioritize the backlog to maximize the value of the team's development
  • Maintain a clearly defined and transparent backlog
  • Clarify epic and user story requirements and answer team questions
  • Create clear and testable acceptancecriteria for each epic and user story
  • Participate in scrum team ceremonies (grooming, planning, review, retrospectives)
  • Manage user story size to ensure they can be accomplished in a single sprint
  • Ensure that all epics have quantifiable business value
  • Explore innovative methods to improve team processes and code quality
  • Maximize the business value of development to deliver high-quality, working software
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies, to include but not limited to the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required for the job:
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience in software development
  • Four years ofrelated workexperience, or a mix of product-related study and college-level projects.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed for the job:
  • Excellent facilitation, accountability, and organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong collaborative, analytical, andproblem-solvingskills
  • Ability to operate as a change agent; influences anddrives improvements at all levels

Work Environment:
  • Standard work environment
  • Majority of time spent on PC (Phys. Req.)
  • Travel required, may be domestic or international
