Rugby Manufacturing is looking for a Design Engineer Intern. Rugby is North America's leading designer and manufacturer of Class 3-7 dump truck bodies, landscape bodies, platform bodies, truck and trailer hoists, related truck equipment and accessories.

Job Summary:

• Produce accurate and clear engineering drawings and accurate bills of material for new and existing products
• Create custom designs and layout drawings on CAD system as required on customer order of specifications
• Be able to assist Sales with pricing projects
• Produce technical illustrations for owner’s manuals, bulletins, and sales literature
• Assist with changes and problems related to product design
• Assist manufacturing, quality, and planning as required
• Other duties as assigned

Tools Used: SolidWorks, Business Software, Microsoft Office

Environment: Office area, and occasionally on the production floor

Job Requirements:

• Enrolled as an Engineering student at a college or university
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with Solid Works.
• Must be able to maintain, be responsible for, and keep current on scheduled workload
• Strong technical reasoning abilities
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Basic Solid Modeling proficiency—finite element analysis is a plus
• A Basic understanding of truck chassis and related equipment
• Technical knowledge in steel and hydraulics is preferred
• Must be a team player with high integrity and a strong work ethic to meet company goals
