Laundry Aide

Essential Functions, Roles, and Responsibilities Follows label directions for using detergents or chemicals.Routinely restocks all linen closets and/or carts.Routinely delivers personal clothing to residents rooms, making sure to deliver to correct residents rooms.Operates dryers and/or washers with care and according to instructions.Folds and/or hangs linens and clothing that have been laundered.Keeps clean linen shelves neat and in order, refolding or restacking articles as needed.Sorts out stained linens for rewash.Sorts out articles in need of mending.Bleaches items that have been stained.Washes hands after having left work area, after touching anything contaminated, and when moving between dirty and clean areas.Uses proper washing procedure for each load of laundry.Cleans and disinfects working area one day a week, making sure to get all horizontal surfaces.
