How will you make your impact?

As a Traction Power Engineer at Linxon, you are the technical authority and anchor for rail electrification, providing leadership across the full lifecycle of traction power substation systems for Light Rail, Commuter Rail, and High‑Speed Rail projects throughout North America. You bring deep subject‑matter expertise in traction power and substation engineering, combining hands‑on design leadership with strong customer engagement to deliver safe, compliant, and constructible solutions. You serve as a trusted technical partner to customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, driving alignment from early tenders through detailed engineering, construction support, and commissioning.

What will you do?

  • Technical authority for traction power substation systems, setting engineering direction and ensuring alignment with North American standards, customer requirements, and internal processes

  • Ownership of primary traction power engineering across DC substations, including MV and DC switchgear, transformers, rectifiers/converters, grounding, and auxiliary AC/DC systems

  • Central technical interface for customers, end users, consultants, and contractors, representing Linxon in design reviews, hazard reviews, and technical assurance activities

  • Key contributor to tender and bid development, shaping technical strategy, solution architecture, risk posture, and scope definition in collaboration with business development and tender teams

  • Integrator across disciplines, ensuring coordination between traction power, protection & control, BIM, civil, construction, and commissioning functions

  • Technical partner to suppliers and supply chain, ensuring alignment, technical compliance, and optimized equipment solutions

  • Reference point for project execution support, maintaining design intent through construction, testing, and commissioning

  • Mentor and guide for junior engineers, reinforcing technical rigor, safety culture, and engineering excellence within the rail electrification organization

Who you are?

  • You are a holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in traction power or rail electrification systems

  • You are a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), or have the qualifications and experience aligned toward professional licensure (preferred but not required)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $90, 400 to $173, 300. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
