How will you make your impact?
As the Subject Matter Expert (SME), Secondary Engineering, you will be a driving force within the Linxon Americas Engineering Team. In this influential role, you will lead and execute Secondary Engineering activities—including Control, Protection, SCADA, and Substation Automation—across a wide range of high‑impact infrastructure projects. These include Air‑Insulated (AIS) and Gas‑Insulated (GIS) substations, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), Railway Electrification, Data Centers, and both offshore and onshore Wind facilities.
You will work closely with Project Lead Engineers, BIM Engineers, and Primary Engineers while reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. Though this is an individual‑contributor position, it is a highly visible and strategically important role—one that shapes project quality, technical excellence, and customer trust across the region.
This position also offers significant career growth potential. With strong performance and demonstrated leadership, you will have the opportunity to evolve into a Lead Engineer or Secondary Engineering Team Leader within the next 3–5 years, positioning you as a key technical leader in Linxon’s future.
What will you do?
Lead secondary engineering for major AIS/GIS, BESS, Rail, Data Center, and Wind projects, delivering safe, reliable, high‑performing substation systems.
Develop specifications, BOMs, and coordinated designs that streamline procurement, reduce redesign, and ensure smooth construction and commissioning.
Resolve vendor bid and design issues early to secure compliant, cost‑effective, and integrated solutions.
Provide expert protection, control, SCADA, and automation guidance that improves system performance and reduces operational risk.
Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and project teams to resolve technical challenges quickly and drive successful project outcomes.
Review designs, support testing, and uphold quality standards to ensure accurate, reliable, and construction‑ready deliverables.
Who you are?
You have exposure to ETAP and SEL tools.
You have strong skills in CAD software, including AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
You have familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
You have a solid understanding of power systems and their application in substation environments.
You have a Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) certification.
You have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
