Job Brief: We are seeking an outstanding R& D Manager to lead the research and development team in
solid state protection, power electronics and related electronic systems. The ideal candidate is a globally recognized technical expert with profound academic background, rich R& D experience, outstanding industry influence and high leadership potential. This role will drive core technology innovation, manage key R& D projects, strengthen industry-university-research cooperation, lead the team to tackle technical challenges, and promote the commercial landing of cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the R& D team focused on solid state protection and power electronics systems. Provide professional technical guidance, talent training and performance management for team members.
- Formulate and implement the R& D technical roadmap for solid state protection and power electronics, matching the company's long-term strategic goals.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of R& D projects, including technical feasibility demonstration, scheme design, prototype development, testing verification, patent layout and technology industrialization.
- Build and maintain close internal and external cooperation relationships, deepen industry-university-research collaboration with universities and research institutions (such as NC State, FREEDM Center), and promote technical joint innovation.
- Participate in IEEE and other international standardization work. Promote the formulation and promotion of industry technical standards.
- Lead the team to complete high-level academic output and patent layout, support the improvement of the company's technical barriers and industry influence.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, testing and marketing to promote the transformation of R& D results into market-oriented products and solutions.
- Track and resolve key technical problems in the R& D and verification process, ensure the smooth progress of projects and the achievement of technical indicators.
- Cultivate high-performance technical teams, and promote knowledge inheritance and technological innovation within the team.
Qualifications: - Ph.D. and Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or related majors
- 10+ years of professional experience in electronic design and R& D, with in-depth technical accumulation in solid state protection and other fields.
- Globally recognized technical expert with outstanding academic and technical influence.
- Rich experience in external technical cooperation and academic exchanges: long-term participation in university industry-university-research cooperation.
- High leadership potential, especially suitable for leading highly experienced professional technical teams, with strong team motivation and task execution capabilities.
- Excellent technical presentation and communication skills, with experience in sharing professional technical topics
- Strong project management, problem-solving and decision-making ability, able to promote key R& D tasks and tackle technical difficulties.
- Passion for cutting-edge technology research and innovation, and commitment to leading the team to create industry-leading technical solutions and products.
