Description:

Under general supervision, perform a variety complex wiring per wire run lists found on wiring diagrams.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (basic job requirements)

  • Apply wire harnesses to product
  • Remove and add accessory wiring per the wiring diagram and wire run list.
  • Communicate problems with the wiring diagram, outline drawing and/or product with supervision and Engineering
  • Inspect work by lamping out wires added
  • Assure quality of connections and document all work produced
  • Ensure all tools being used are properly calibrated
  • Follow standard procedures for wiring
  • Comply with company rules and regulations
  • Operate equipment/tools in a safe and efficient manner as directed


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (specific to position)

  • Participate in monthly quality feedback meetings.
  • Willing and able to work in accordance with Lean methods and practices
  • Willing to participate in continual training and willing to assist in the training of other employees
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: (softskills, specific knowledge)

  • Must have good communication skills


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent related experience
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Understand proper crimping and stripping methods
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, wire run lists, bills of material and shop orders
    • Previous experience preferred
    • PC Windows knowledge is preferred
