You will be part of the Center of Excellence for Additive Manufacturing for the deployment of this technology.
The
Additive Manufacturing Application Engineer is responsible for integrating this technology in the group as an alternative technology alongside conventional processes. This includes determining the best AM technology for the project, developing
3D models for printing, supporting the labs through printing and project communications. The successful candidate is able to influence technical resources on the benefits for additive manufacturing and execute projects on a high level.
What will you do?- Identify and use different AM technologies and materials.
- Support the develop and delivery of training materials for internal design teams to support Additive manufacturing integration.
- Work with internal and external resources to execute use cases across the hubs
- Create and leverage internal and external relationships with engineering resources to become the trusted advisor for AM
- Create 3D models for printing of parts and support the execution with the lab resources.
- Share best practices across Hubs
- Support execution of Additive Manufacturing road map leveraging global expertise and global technology partnerships
- Support the develop of communication and presentation materials to tell compelling stories in support of Additive Manufacturing technology program investments.
Requirements: • Proficient in Creo or comparable CAD software.
• Experience with design and producing parts with 3D printers.
• Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting technical presentations and training sessions.
• Candidate must be energetic, a self-starter, and be able to work effectively with little supervision.
• Expected travel will be around 30% depending on project work. Qualifications:
• Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Additive Manufacturing or related technical
support roles.
• Strong understanding of Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
