As a Senior Engineer, Financial Systems at RXO, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing and maintaining financial systems, with a focus on Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), FDMEE and EPBCS. This role includes providing technical leadership, offering operational support and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless performance of our financial systems.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Design and develop applications to deliver effective solutions for business teams
  • Provide operational support for financial systems and related applications
  • Identify, troubleshoot, resolve and document technical issues within existing Hyperion applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for third-party software installation and performance monitoring
  • Address HFM technical and functional issues, including database-related concerns, in collaboration with users, technical staff and support teams
  • Modify existing software to fix errors, enhance functionality and support new integrations
  • Monitor system performance and implement optimizations as needed
  • Respond promptly to emergency production issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Partner with QA teams to develop and execute test plans
  • Collaborate with users to address business concerns and coordinate necessary changes


What you’ll need to excel:

At a minimum, you’ll need:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 6 years of development experience with the Oracle Hyperion product suite, including HFM, FDMEE, and EPBCS
  • Strong expertise in HFM workflow design and metadata management
  • Deep understanding of techno-functional concepts such as trial balances, general ledgers, profit & loss statements and balance sheets
  • Proficiency in metadata management, rules, intercompany processes (ICPs) and VB scripting
  • Knowledge of at least one additional programming or scripting language
  • Experience reviewing design documents and providing recommendations on financial consolidation and closing processes


It’d be great if you also have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud
  • 8+ years of experience in financial systems roles
  • Proven ability to serve as a subject matter expert, providing training, troubleshooting, and support for IT-managed software applications like HFM, EPBCS and Blackline
  • Capacity to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions
  • Experience working with both on-premises and cloud-based Hyperion applications
  • Strong multitasking skills with the ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data and insights clearly to diverse audiences
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including planned and unplanned overtime, which may include weekends
