Public Health Foundation Enterprises, In is hiring!

Description:

Heluna Health and RTI International seek a Field Study Coordinator to supervise a community-based, research project in the southern Piedmont of North Carolina, including Gaston, Catawba, and Burke counties. This Community Wound Study is a longitudinal investigation meant to examine the development and progression of novel wounds among people who use illicit drugs. The FSC will manage all data collection and track information from numerous data sources, including participant recruitment, remuneration, six months of data collection per participant, and all follow-up study activities. Lastly, the FSC will supervise two research interviewers (one at each study site) and one administrative assistant to ensure both study locations are productive and successfully tracking participants and linking them to care if needed. Accordingly, the FSC should have a working knowledge of the medical systems operating in the study locations to better assistant study participants in need of care. Since the medical component of novel, drug-related wounds is central to the study, the FSC will manage both the medical and behavioral components of this longitudinal, community-based study.

This is a 50%-time position. We are seeking a flexible, detail-oriented and well-organized candidate, someone who has worked with people who use drugs from a harm reduction perspective. We prefer candidates with experience conducting community-based research with vulnerable and stigmatized populations and have knowledge of the medical consequences of injection drug use. Employment is provided by Heluna Health.

The pay rate for this role is $26.00/hr
