HRIS Analyst Role OverviewThe HRIS Analyst will serve as a key member of the People & Culture (P& C aka HR) team, providing Tier 1 support for Workday and assisting in the maintenance, documentation, and optimization of HR systems and processes. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, a passion for systems, and a customer-service mindset. The analyst will be responsible for responding to user inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and creating and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries and basic Workday issues, including navigation, transactions, and reporting.
- Provide support across multiple HR functions such as Benefits, Compensation, Learning, Talent/Performance, and business processes (e.g., job changes, terminations, leaves of absence).
- Manage the HRIS support ticketing system, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate escalation of complex issues.
- Perform password resets, assign security roles, and manage organizational changes.
- Conduct regular audits and system clean-up to ensure data accuracy and integrity across all Workday modules.
- Monitor outstanding business processes, follow up with stakeholders, and take corrective actions (e.g., reassign, cancel, or rescind tasks).
- Support data entry and updates for employee records and organizational structures.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, training videos, and user communications.
- Ensure documentation reflects current system configurations and business practices.
- Assist in training HR team members and end-users on system functionality and best practices.
- Develop and run standard and ad hoc reports and dashboards using Workday reporting tools.
- Support data requests from HR and business partners, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HRIS processes and enhance the user experience.
- Participate in testing, validation, and implementation of Workday updates and system enhancements.
- Assist with special projects and Workday upgrades as needed.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, IT, or related field required.
- One (1) to three (3) years of experience in HRIS administration required, preferably with Workday, with some experience in one or more of the following functional areas: Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Advanced Compensation, Security, Reporting, Talent.
- One (1) year of Workday administration experience required.
- Proficiency in Workday or similar HRIS platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Customer-service mindset with a collaborative approach.
