Demand Planner Role OverviewDevelop and maintain full goods forecast to support multiple channels of business including direct store delivery sales. This position will work closely and collaborate with the Demand Planning Manager, Sales, Corporate Planning, Marketing, and Supply Chain to build these forecasts.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Analyze SKU level, promotable group, and customer level trends in both historical and retail data to create, optimize, and dynamically maintain item level forecasts.
- Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns. Maintain master data to support modeling.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, retail pricing, and business strategies.
- Support management with risk assessment and mitigation activities.
- Collaborate with Sales and planning teams to ensure key customer and promotional activity is captured in forecast models and process.
- Collaborate with Marketing team to support and evaluate new product launches.
- Publish forecasting KPIs and accuracy metrics.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Planning, Operations, Economics, Logistics, or related field or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.
- Three (3) years of demand planning or forecasting experience preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory practices and principles.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office and MS Excel.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to others in a cross-functional environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of inventory practices and principles.
