Description:

We are hiring a Director of Banquets! FT $80, 000

Responsibilities:

  • Know how to, understand, and direct Group Sales.
  • Solicit business, i.e. conventions, sports groups, reunions, etc.
  • Train Sales, Account, and Event Managers on their job responsibilities.
  • Develop sales strategies for group market segments.
  • Develop departmental budget to support group sales revenue.
  • Forecast potential group business for the hotel.
  • Know how to, understand, and direct Reservation Sales to.
  • Set room rates and restrictions to achieve sales, also with input from the General Manager.
  • Establish budgeted transient sales goals for the fiscal year (with input from the General Manager)
  • Solicit and oversee catering sales efforts of banquet space.
  • Train Catering/Sales Managers on their job responsibilities.
  • Develop catering/sales strategies.
