Overview
The Commercial Marketing Manager supports the development, execution, and optimization of marketing campaigns that drive awareness, demand, and customer engagement across Metabolon's growing portfolio. This individual contributor role works closely with partners across Product Management, Digital Marketing, Sales, and scientific leadership to deliver coordinated campaigns, go-to-market support, content, and digital programs that contribute to growth. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in B2B marketing and campaign execution, with working knowledge of digital channels, marketing automation, and customer lifecycle engagement.

Responsibilities

Campaign Planning & Execution
  • Support campaign planning and execute multi-channel programs aligned to business priorities.
  • Help coordinate product launches, messaging rollouts, and brand initiatives in partnership with cross-functional teams.
  • Contribute to account-based marketing (ABM) efforts for priority accounts and segments.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Operations to ensure consistent messaging and smooth go-to-market execution.

Demand Generation & Content
  • Execute and optimize integrated campaigns across web, email, and social channels.
  • Develop and manage campaign assets (emails, landing pages, ads, webinar promotions, and nurture content) to support the buyer journey.
  • Use available tools (including AI-enabled tools where appropriate) to improve content development, targeting, and campaign performance.
  • Support Metabolon.com webinars and gated resources to increase engagement and database growth.

Marketing Communications & Events
  • Assist with the global events calendar (tradeshows, webinars, and customer events), including planning support and promotion.
  • Track competitor activity and market trends and share insights with the team.

Performance Analytics & Optimization
  • Track key campaign metrics (engagement, leads, conversion, and pipeline contribution) and report results.
  • Support campaign ROI analysis and recommend improvements based on performance data.
  • Assist with A/B testing, conversion rate optimization (CRO), and dashboard reporting to improve outcomes over time.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve channel effectiveness.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to annual marketing planning and budgeting processes.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends and tools relevant to B2B and life sciences.
  • Help translate complex scientific concepts into clear, customer-focused messaging with guidance from subject matter experts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required; preference for Marketing, Communications, or Life Sciences-related fields.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, demand generation, or campaign marketing (life sciences/biotech experience is a plus, not required).
  • Experience supporting multi-channel programs such as email marketing, web/landing pages, social, and/or paid media (PPC/SEO exposure a plus).
  • Working knowledge of lead funnel basics and campaign measurement/attribution concepts.
  • Experience executing marketing campaigns and reporting on results (leads, engagement, and conversion metrics).
  • Familiarity with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., Marketo and Salesforce); power-user experience is a plus.
  • Strong project management, organization, and communication skills; familiarity with tools like Notion is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (SEO, web best practices, email deliverability); HTML/CMS experience a plus.
  • Experience working with WordPress or other CMS platforms preferred.
  • Familiarity with AI marketing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, SurferSEO, 6sense) is a plus.
