We are growing both our focus and device line-up in order to support Cardiac Surgeons and Heart Failure Cardiologists across the US. With our continued success, we are looking to expand our commercial team. You will work closely with our cardiology sales and clinical team who will be responsible for driving growth across the designated territory. Through our Impella® product portfolio you will enable physicians and staff to recover hearts and save patients’ lives.
We are looking for a dynamic sales leader that can motivate and lead teams to produce exceptional results within our cardiac surgical sales team in the Atlantic Coast Area. In this position you will manage the sales and clinical teams for their assigned territory and nurture our culture of trust, honor, and integrity. You must showcase proven success developing & executing sales strategies that result in the achievement of sales goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct surgical sales activities that result in meeting annual growth objectives
- Set sales targets and forecasts
- Identify, hire, retain and develop talent through proactively managing performance
- Develop strategies for launching new accounts and growing existing accounts
- Establish effective communications with executives and managers across the company to ensure proper sensitivity to the needs of sales
- Lead difficult sales negotiations, especially with larger prospects
- Collaborate with functional departments of the company, specifically but not limited to Operations, Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Regulatory, and Clinical Affairs
- Liaise with Marketing and Professional Education to further develop value added strategies, tools, programs, and services

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience medical device cardiovascular space
- 7+ years of management experience of a field commercial team
- 5+ years of experience within CT surgery/ HF cardiology and have a local, regional, national reference database of physicians
- Bachelors or advanced degree required; MBA Preferred
- Proven track record of success in managing a growing sales organization
- Ability to gain cooperation of others and lead team members
- Ability to negotiate and influence senior level leaders, subject matter experts (SME’s) & key opinion leaders (KOL’s)
- Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Working knowledge of SAP desired
- Ability to travel up to 60%
- Conduct duties and responsibilities in accordance with all state and federal laws and regulations governing the medical device industry required

- Acts independently as a distinguished expert and organizational thought leader to advise on programs and innovative initiatives for the organization to advance Clinical Sales - Surgeons capabilities.
- Utilizes strong business & financial acumen to assess the needs and priorities of the broader business with an understanding of how to use metrics/numbers to gauge overall performance.
- Leads commercial Business Planning for assigned geography, leveraging consistent business planning processes and tools.
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communications and organizational skills, with the ability to make sales presentations with positive results.
- Leads complex projects of strategic importance, involving cross-functional teams.
- Applies advanced knowledge of trends and the competitive landscape to continually improve the organization's Clinical Sales - Surgeons strategy.
- Develops technical strategy leading to customer-specific solutions, applying expert understanding of the changing market dynamics.
- Applies expertise in consultative and solution selling to understand prospective client challenges and make clear recommendations of how the organization's solutions address business needs.
- Guides other colleagues through consultation, mentoring, and collaborative leadership to build depth of capability, and provides functional (matrix) supervision.
- Proactively creates a purpose driven environment by aligning Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives with the strategies and goals of the team and enterprise.
- The Company maintains a highly competitive sales incentive compensation program. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for participation in this program in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan.
