Description:

Summary and Objective: The Accounting Manager will assist the Controller with the month end close process, with the day-to-day financial operations of their brands, and with oversight of the Staff Accountants. The Accounting Manager has overall responsibility for the integrity of the general ledger, general accounting functions and the maintenance of appropriate controls for their IFC (Industrial Flow Control) brands.

Essential Functions
  • Responsibility for integrity of the general ledger and the maintenance of appropriate controls.
  • Responsibility for the monthly close process and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and P& L accounts for multiple IFC brands across multiple ERPs.
  • Work closely with FP& A in preparation of monthly management reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants.
  • Provides request and support to external auditors, as required.
  • Provide professional financial and accounting support to operational initiatives.
  • Responsible for sales and use tax and property tax, including coordination of information sharing with external tax provider.
  • Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to management for multiple IFC brands.
  • Provide support for special ad-hoc projects and analytics as required.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift up to 15 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Travel

Occasional travel is expected for this position.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
  • CPA designation or working towards CPA preferred.
  • 5+ years' experience in a large commercial business, multi location or industrial distribution preferred. Public accounting experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills: including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP required.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong analytical, communication (both written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, or as part of a team, under tight timelines and pressure.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
