Join Our Team as a Substitute Teacher! Families & Communities Rising, Inc. (FCR) is seeking dependable, caring, and flexible Substitute Teachers to support our Head Start classrooms. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with young children and want to make a meaningful difference while gaining experience in early childhood education. What Youll Do Implement lesson plans and activities based on the Head Start curriculum Create an engaging and structured classroom environment Assist children with meals, hygiene, playtime, and other daily routines Use positive behavior-management techniques to support social-emotional development Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free classroom Work collaboratively with teachers, assistants, and family support staff Communicate appropriately with parents and guardians Support an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment Maintain attendance records and complete basic reports as needed Prepare materials for classroom lessons and activities Follow Head Start regulations, state licensing requirements, emergency procedures, and FCR policies
