Preschool Teacher

Help Young Learners Grow, Explore, and Succeed! Families & Communities Rising, Inc. (FCR) is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our Head Start/NC Pre-K team. This position requires a current North Carolina BirthKindergarten (BK) license. At FCR, we believe every child deserves a strong start. What Youll Do Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences.Promote childrens literacy, language, math, physical, social, and emotional development.Create and maintain a safe, healthy, welcoming, and organized classroom.Collaborate with the assistant teacher and other classroom staff.Develop lesson plans and prepare classroom learning centers and materials.Use Creative Curriculum GOLD to assess and document childrens developmental progress.Maintain accurate attendance, meal, assessment, and classroom records.Build positive relationships with children and their families.Conduct required home visits and parent-teacher conferences.Communicate regularly with families regarding their childs progress.Maintain active supervision of children in the classroom, on the playground, and during program activities.Participate in staff meetings, professional development, training, and program events.Follow Head Start Performance Standards, North Carolina childcare requirements, and FCR policies and procedures.
