Families & Communities Rising, Inc. is seeking a patient, nurturing Infant Toddler Teacher to help our youngest learners feel secure, explore their world, and build early skills. Join our Head Start/Early Head Start team and build meaningful relationships with children and families during these important early years. What You Will Do Make learning meaningful. Work with your co-teacher to plan daily routines and weekly lessons that meet each childs needs, using the Creative Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers. Build trust through responsive care. Respond warmly to childrens verbal and nonverbal cues and make feeding, diapering, toileting, and rest times nurturing opportunities for growth. Create a welcoming classroom. Maintain a safe, accessible, culturally appropriate learning space with engaging materials and predictable experiences. Support each childs development. Observe progress, document learning, and use positive guidance during play and daily routines. Partner with families. Communicate daily, complete at least two parent conferences and two home visits each year, and invite parents to participate in their childs learning. Encourage healthy routines. Provide safe outdoor play throughout the year and participate in family-style meals when children are developmentally ready. Keep care safe and organized. Follow health, sanitation, licensing, fire safety, and Head Start standards; maintain attendance and meal records; and help with routine classroom cleaning. Work as a team. Collaborate with colleagues, protect confidentiality, report maintenance or supply needs, and follow FCR policies and procedures. Provide consistent care. Transition with your group from infancy through toddlerhood whenever feasible, helping children maintain familiar, trusting relationships.
