Help Little Learners GrowJoin Our Team as an Assistant Teacher! Bring your love of working with children to Families & Communities Rising (FCR)! As an Assistant Teacher, youll work alongside a teacher to create a caring, engaging classroom where preschoolers feel safe, build confidence, and discover something new each day. What You Will Do Partner with the teacher to plan and carry out lessons, classroom activities, and active play that support childrens growth and development. Help create a clean, safe, welcoming classroom with engaging learning centers and prepared materials. Build positive relationships with children and families, and participate in two home visits and two parent/teacher conferences per child each program year. Support childrens behavior with patience, respectful communication, and positive guidance. Keep children actively supervised throughout the day, including during bathroom routines, outdoor play, and field trips. Participate in family-style meals and snacks, support daily dental hygiene, and assist with classroom housekeeping. Communicate with families, keep the teacher informed, and document important conversations and childrens progress. Maintain accurate, confidential records and keep child-specific files and potentially harmful materials securely locked.
