Diagnostic Radiology & Imaging, LLC is hiring a Registered Nurse (PRN-Weekends) in Greensboro, NC. This is a full-time position.

Work Locations: Position requires the ability to float to any of our locations as needed for coverage. DRI Alamance -4030 Oaks Professional Parkway, Suite 101, Burlington, NC 27215 DRI Lake Brandt - 6199 Lake Brandt Road, Greensboro, NC 27455 DRI Greensboro - 315 W. Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27408 Shifts: Saturdays/Sundays - working 8-12-hour shifts depending on location. If you are interested, you may also pick up weekday shifts if they become available. Description The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, evaluating, and assisting patients while planning, implementing, and evaluating their status while in the care of their department. Major responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, administering conscious sedation, assisting the team during procedures, and providing care for patients in recovery. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in critical care nursing, telemetry, and conscious sedation. The nurse is expected to deliver compassionate care while coordinating and assisting in the execution of radiology procedures. Duties and Responsibilities · Facilitate the patient experience by greeting and escorting patients to treatment areas or exits, verifying the patient's identity, explaining procedures, providing pre-and post-procedure instructions, and screening patients before interventional procedures. Utilize AIDET Principles in all patient and provider encounters. · Coordinate patient treatment plans by providing pre-procedure instructions to patients, investigating contraindications before scheduling procedures, and consulting with radiologists. May coordinate patient treatment plan by scheduling follow-up imaging, labs, and office visits, creating orders for imaging studies, labs, consultations, and office visits, dispensing prescriptions and instructions for pre-procedure preparation, preparing and mailing pre-procedure forms and appointment details, investigating contraindications before scheduling procedures, communicating imaging, pathology and lab results to patient, communicating with referring providers and consulting with Radiologists. Identifying unexpected reactions in patients during procedures, administering analgesia, and sedating patients upon instruction · Perform computer operations, including beginning and ending exams in EMR, retrieving results, reports, and previous exams, retrieving and documenting labs, IV insertions and removal, scanning and inputting data into the computer, and operating standard office and medical equipment. Assist other departments as needed. May participate in IR consults. · Perform environmental and safety procedures by cleaning and sterilizing exam rooms and workstations, maintaining supply levels, ordering supplies, adhering to infection control policies and protocols, following drug protocols for allergic reactions, administering first aid, maintaining emergency crash cart and documenting and accounting for all scheduled narcotic medications, maintaining and ordering laboratory supplies, and performing quality control tests on lab equipment. · Maintain professional and technical knowledge and licensure through educational workshops, professional publications, and societies. · Other duties as assigned.
