Description:

What You Will Do:

  • Participate as a member of the HR Team whose ultimate mission is to provide outstanding service in developing, implementing and maintaining human resources activities that support ConMet's vision.
  • Maintain accurate records in HRIS and other systems, including employee pay increases, job changes, etc.
  • Lead benefit administration function for the location, including benefit enrolments, changes, etc.
  • Administer Leave of Absence program for the location.
  • Participate in recruitment activities and selection processes.
  • Assist with the tracking of supplemental staff, the conversion of temporary employees and communicating with staffing agencies.
  • Lead new employee onboarding activities.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and timely HR metrics reports.
  • Interpret and explain company policies related to human resources activity. Address employee complaints and conduct related investigations promptly and professionally.
  • Participate in development and implementation of employee experience activities.
  • Liaise with payroll department on employee status changes, time and attendance administration, and pay questions.

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • Bachelor of Science in Human Resources or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum five years of experience in Human Resources in a variety of functions such as recruitment, HRIS administration, benefits, employee relations, etc.
  • Ability to effectively handle stressful situations and lead others towards effective problem solving.
  • Communicate well both verbally and in writing, including ability to create accurate and timely reports, deliver presentations and have great listening skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and get along with a wide variety of people.
  • Ability to maintain highest level of integrity and confidentiality.
