Responsibilities:

• Handle start-up and shut-down duties relating to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift.
• Conduct preventative maintenance & cleaning of the machine daily.
• Check that each packaging machine is in good repair and works under regulations set by the company.
• Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order.
• Monitor correct product weights and ensures that they are maintained throughout the shift.
• Handle/discard waste that packaging machines produce; in a safe manner.
• Monitor packaging machines by using appropriate controls to package different items.
• Load and unload items into packaging machines and remove rejected packages.
• Follow all GMPs and Safety Procedures.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

Experience, Skills, Education:

• Packaging Machine Operator Experience Required.
• Preventative Maintenance Skills Required.
• Maintenance Knowledge Preferred.
• Effective Communication Skills.
• Demonstrated Organizational Skills.
• Good Math Skills.
• Reading/Comprehension Abilities.
• Demonstrated Leadership Capabilities.
• Ability to Work Independently.
• Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly.
